First corporate partner signs with Domus 8.7

Leading Australian investment manager Ausbil has signed up as the first corporate member of Domus 8.7, the modern slavery remediation service to organisations in the Australian Catholic Anti-slavery Network (ACAN).

Remediation Service Manager Alison Rahill warmly welcomed Ausbil to Domus 8.7, under the new corporate membership category.

“Over the last five years ACAN have put in place the expertise and the systems to support broad-based modern slavery assessment and remediation services. That expertise is now available to corporate clients, as well as our partners in the Australian Catholic world,” Ms Rahill said.

“We are delighted to make those services available to Ausbil, an organisation that has, for many years, been a flag bearer for best practice in ESG.”

“With increasing internal and external scrutiny on operations and supply chains, Domus 8.7 membership will ensure corporations have access to expert, trauma-informed advice on how to handle potential incidences of modern slavery.”

“Ausbil has been actively engaging companies on modern slavery for many years, firstly in understanding and reporting it, and then in helping identify policies and actions that can be taken to help reduce this risk in supply chains,” Måns Carlsson OAM, Head of ESG and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Ausbil Active Sustainable Equity Fund at Ausbil said.

“Our partnership with Domus 8.7 is a natural evolution in our work in highlighting the need to take real and immediate action on modern slavery wherever we can.”

Ausbil announced the partnership with Domus 8.7 in a media release on 25 October 2024.
